London set to get new skyscraper in the City – here’s what you need to know about it

Construction of 1 Leadenhall to begin in 2018

London is set to get a 37-storey glass tower in the Square Mile come 2020.

1 Leadenhall Street will stand next to Leadenhall market and will span 65,000sq m of space.

Developer Brookfield aims to begin construction in early 2018.

The tower will boast 50,000sq m of office space above 4,700sq m of retail on the first three floors. There will also be a 900sq m public terrace with a winter garden.
